Responsibilities Support the Director in managing daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards and developmental best practices. Assist with supervising staff, providing guidance on classroom management, behavior management, and early childhood education techniques. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, sharing updates on child progress, addressing concerns, and building trusting relationships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid, pediatric first aid, and CPR procedures. Oversee child supervision to maintain a safe environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Coordinate with staff on classroom setup, materials management, and implementing inclusive special education strategies when needed. Support staff training initiatives related to childhood development instruction, preschool experience best practices, and working with children with disabilities. Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or preschool settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and child development knowledge. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in early childhood education or daycare environments. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for young children. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols related to childcare environments. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or similar health & safety training preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners to foster a collaborative environment.
