Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Daycare Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can thrive. You will coordinate staff, develop educational programs, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster positive relationships with families. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to supporting childhood development and fostering a love of learning from infancy through preschool age. Responsibilities Lead the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff Supervise and support teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, child development instruction, and behavior management strategies Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood education and childhood development principles Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, and health and safety standards Communicate regularly with parents to share updates on their child's progress, address concerns, and foster strong relationships Oversee staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to build a motivated and qualified team Manage classroom activities including toddler care, infant care, preschool programs, and special education needs when applicable Ensure proper documentation of incidents, health records, attendance logs, and other required records in accordance with state laws Coordinate emergency preparedness procedures including pediatric first aid and CPR readiness among staff Skills Extensive experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities Strong knowledge of early childhood education methods, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred) along with familiarity with mandated reporting laws Proven leadership skills in managing daycare or childcare centers with experience in daycare center experience preferred Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively in diverse classroom settings Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements and health & safety regulations Join us to lead a passionate team dedicated to nurturing young minds!
