Job Description

Seeking an experienced and mission-driven Preschool Director to lead daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a high-quality, nurturing, and educational environment for children, families, and staff. The Director is responsible for operating the center in accordance with Preschool policies and Texas state licensing requirements, while delivering exceptional customer service, strong financial and operational management, and consistent program quality. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations Execute the school's mission and values across all operations Lead, mentor, and manage teaching and administrative staff to achieve center goals Ensure effective staff onboarding, training, development, and performance evaluations Maintain staffing levels and ensure classroom ratios are met at all times Manage Budget Preschool Marketing, community outreach is a must Program Quality & Compliance Ensure implementation of age-appropriate, high-quality curriculum Partner with leadership to continuously improve program quality Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws, licensing, and company policies Maintain positive working relationships with licensing authorities and community partners Family & Community Engagement Build and maintain supportive, professional relationships with families Model effective parent communication and proactively address concerns Support enrollment growth and family retention through strong customer experience Facilities & Safety Ensure the facility meets all standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality Participate in scheduled and impromptu safety drills with children and staff Collaboration Partner closely with the President to drive enrollment, quality, and customer satisfaction Collaborate with other Directors as needed Support Human Resources with hiring and staffing decisions when required Participate in off-site team-building or professional activities as requested QualificationsExperience Minimum 8 years of early childhood education experience (required) Minimum 2 years of business or operational management experience (preferred) Experience with TRS accreditation (preferred) Experience working with corporate or franchise organizations (preferred) Education & Certifications Associate Degree in Child Development (required) Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Minimum 12 post-secondary units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development , including infant/toddler units Meets all Texas state education and experience requirements Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director credential (preferred) Current First Aid and CPR certification (required) Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer service skills Excellent oral and written communication abilities Strong organizational and multitasking skills General business-level computer proficiency (email, documents, spreadsheets) Thorough understanding of Texas childcare licensing regulations Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Retirement plan Enrollment Bonus - Own the outcome of a school Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Additional Requirements Preschool Director experience: 8 years (required)
