Lead Teacher - Developmental Preschool Job Summary Lead Teacher needs to be compassionate, highly skilled in ECE and work directly with the center's director. You will design and implement a specialized curriculum tailored to the cognitive, motor, communication, and social-emotional needs of young children. Our teachers create an inclusive, play-based environment, mentors support staff, and collaborates with families. Our Staff brings warmth, patience, and understanding to our campus every day, encouraging children to learn and grow. They inspire children to be lifelong learners that promotes social, physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Our teachers are committed to making our school successful and know creating meaningful relationships with children, families, and their team play a crucial role in that success. We are a Christ based preschool. 2 days per week Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am- noon.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction:

Develop and execute individualized and group lesson plans that stimulate cognitive, linguistic, social emotional, and motor development.

Developmental Tracking:

Conduct ongoing developmental observations. Adjust teaching strategies and create targeted learning plans based on individual needs.

Classroom Management:

Cultivate a safe, organized, and stimulating learning environment. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, aides, and volunteers to ensure high-quality care.

Family Engagement:

Build strong partnerships with parents and guardians. Communicate student progress through regular reports, parent-teacher conferences, and developmental updates.

Health & Safety:

Maintain strict adherence to state licensing guidelines, sanitation protocols, and child-to-staff ratios.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

Minimum 12 units

Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Experience:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an early childhood, inclusion, or developmental preschool setting.

Certifications:

Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications, complete sexual harassment and Mandated Reports as needed.

Skills:

Strong understanding of early childhood milestones and behavior management strategies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands:

Ability to actively engage with children, which includes bending, sitting on the floor, lifting to 50 lbs., and moving quickly during classroom or outdoor activities.
