Must be able to provide a safe, healthy environment for the children, implement each child's individual schedule and communicate to parents daily happenings in the child's experience and conduct parent conferences. You must be able to participate in staff meetings, and perform related duties as assigned. Position Requirements
  • Must be able to relate successfully with children and their families in both Spanish and English.
  • Prepare learning activities both inside and outside as directed by Lead Teacher.
  • Assist in maintaining the learning environment both inside and outside in a clean and safe manner.
  • Work independently and in a team within required guidelines as directed.
  • Be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written correspondence.
  • Be aware of and sensitive to children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to twist, turn, stoop, reach, push, bend and demonstrate a full range of motion.
  • Ability to lift children, boxes or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Present a state required physician's report and TB test completed within 1 year prior to start date.
  • Must clear Child Abuse Index Check and Fingerprint Clearance per Title 22.
  • Be familiar with CACFP and maintain meal records
  • Be able to help with referrals and assessments (DRDPs, parent teacher conferences, ASQs)
  • Change diapers, prepare infants meals and bottles, and keep daily records for the children.
Qualifications Guide Teacher:
Possess an Associate Teacher permit or higher or going to school to obtain the permit. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Cards.
  • This is a closing position, meaning that the hours will be from 9:30am to 6:30pm.
