Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and physical development Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns Conduct assessments aligned with early childhood standards and utilize results to tailor instruction Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental progress, and lesson plans Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs Lead activities that promote physical education, fine motor skills, and social interaction among children Uphold health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and following childcare best practices Experience Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is required Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and early intervention methods Experience with literacy education, standardized testing for young children, and tutoring is preferred Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management techniques, and child welfare policies Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within an educational environment Previous roles in private schools or daycare centers will be considered an asset Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is encouraged
