The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment, guiding development through engaging activities, and planting the seeds of faith in the hearts of young children. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences and play based activities that nurture the social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development of two-year-olds while naturally incorporating Christian values and biblical principles into daily activities. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Provide individual attention and support for each child while monitoring and assessing children's progress. Collaborate and communicate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and classroom activities. Maintain classroom organization, ensuring all materials are accessible and conducive to learning. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their individuality while modeling appropriate behaviors. Attend Staff meetings, trainings and professional development workshops. Follow Preschool procedures and policies Pray with and for children. Share Bible stories and incorporate scripture into daily activities. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent CDA/FCCPC or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred Enrollment or willingness to enroll in the state mandated 45 hour Childcare Training immediately upon hiring. CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to enroll and complete the certification immediately upon hiring. Experience Experience working with children (2 - 3 years of age) Faith Active member of a Christian church, with a strong understanding of Christian values and beliefs. Skills Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Team player and creative. Additional Requirements Ability to pass a fingerprinting clearance and criminal background check Personal Attributes
