The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children ages 2-3 can learn, grow, and develop independence. Responsibilities Provide loving, responsive care and supervision for children ages 2-3. Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment. Follow daily routines, including meals, snacks, diapering/toileting, nap/rest, and transitions. Support children's developing communication, self-help, and social skills. Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior-management strategies. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and families regarding children's daily experiences and development. Maintain accurate classroom records and documentation. Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable childcare regulations. Work collaboratively with the teaching team and administration. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional-development opportunities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.(CDA) Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred. Early childhood education coursework or credentials are a plus. Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and able to work as part of a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of working with toddlers, including lifting ,diaper changing ,potty training and assisting young children as needed. Must meet all applicable state childcare licensing requirements, including background checks and required training.
