Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Assistant to support early childhood education in a vibrant classroom environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and positive space for young learners. The Preschool Assistant will work Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM, helping to facilitate daily activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Support the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to preschoolers. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and mealtimes to ensure safety and well-being. Assist with classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a respectful environment. Help prepare materials and set up learning stations for various activities. Provide individual attention to children as needed to support their developmental needs. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and learning materials. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with preschool-aged children. Patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude are essential qualities for this role. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Early childhood education certifications are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to early childhood development while working in a supportive team environment.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
