Job Description
LT Early Learning Floater Teacher Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Learning Floater Teacher to support our Early Childhood Education program. The ideal candidate will collaborate across classrooms and sites, stepping in as needed to ensure a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment for all children. Key Responsibilities Assume responsibility for the classroom in the Lead Teacher's absence Collaborate with Family Support Workers, Lead Teachers, Program Aides, site partners, and supervisors for the betterment of classrooms and families Guide and facilitate children's activities while ensuring appropriate child guidance, discipline, and proper ratios at all times Participate in ongoing CLASS implementation and monitoring Implement the program's Planned Language Approach to support dual language learners Contribute to weekly lesson planning using Creative Curriculum, including individualization for all children and monitoring accommodations listed in IEPs and IFSPs Aid in maintaining high-quality documentation of school readiness skills via Teaching Strategies Gold and Interrater Reliability standards Participate in education home visits and parent-teacher conferences as needed Participate in childcare and classroom activities during parent meetings and workshops Ensure accurate completion of CACFP documents in conjunction with teaching staff Follow all transportation safety procedures, including bus attendance logs where applicable Use the playground as an extension of the classroom; ensure playground safety at all times Provide active supervision during classroom time, transitions, transportation, and outdoor activities — no child shall be left alone or unsupervised Maintain accurate teacher and child files per licensing, Early Childhood requirements, and agency standards Participate in program recruitment efforts to maintain full enrollment Attend all mandated trainings and track professional development in Gateways Assist in the development of the agency's annual program self-assessment Ensure all content area data is accurately reflected in the Program Information Report within set timeframes Adhere to agency code of conduct and fiscal integrity standards Qualifications Infant Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) certification required Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited college or university preferred OR Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a field outside of ECE with a minimum of 60 college credit hours, of which at least 15 must be in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, and/or a Gateways Level 4 credential Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups Strong collaborative, communication, and organizational skills Adaptable, goal-oriented, self-reflective, and receptive to feedback Requirements Must pass all required background checks and screenings Valid driver's license required; personal vehicle needed for work-related travel between sites Ability to meet physical demands of an early childhood classroom — sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs About Us Established in 1998, Alignstaffing recognized the challenges in the education system and sought to connect highly skilled and passionate educators with institutions in need.
