Duties Supervise and care for infants during the closing hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement at all times Lead classroom management by organizing activities that promote childhood development and sensory exploration Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, progress, and any concerns, building trusting relationships Implement health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR, to respond swiftly to emergencies Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, developmental milestones, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth transition between shifts and uphold high standards of childcare quality Support team training on special education needs, behavior management strategies, and inclusive caregiving practices Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care techniques, and classroom management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred) Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to supervise children effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment Experience with behavior management techniques and caregiving responsibilities such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous Commitment to adhering to mandated reporting laws and maintaining confidentiality in all interactions Must have CDA or meet DCFS requirements to be a Lead Teacher Join us as a Lead Infant Teacher (CLOSER) where your dedication will shape young minds while you grow professionally in a lively, supportive atmosphere.
