Extended-day childcare teacher for preschool students Small child-to-teacher ratio Hours -2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday No Weekends No Holidays Opportunities to sub in classrooms to acquire more hours if needed Join our early childhood education team as a Preschool-Childcare Teacher. Create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children in our preschool/extended-day program. Duties Encourage creativity and independence among young children. Manage effective behavior strategies to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's day and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool or childcare environment Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members Understanding of child welfare standards and early childhood education best practices Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a safe environment Experience teaching physical education for young children is a plus.
