Job Description

Ohana Learning Academy LLC is seeking a positive, professional, dependable, and caring individual to serve as a Lead Child Care Teacher . The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children, planning and leading age-appropriate activities, maintaining daily classroom routines, supervising children, communicating with parents, and ensuring the classroom follows all health, safety, and licensing requirements. The Lead Teacher will also provide guidance to classroom staff and work closely with the Director to ensure the daily needs of the children and classroom are met.
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children. Supervise children at all times and ensure their health and safety. Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities and daily lessons. Follow the classroom's daily schedule, including meals, activities, outdoor play, diapering/toileting, and nap time. Use positive guidance and redirection to manage classroom behavior. Observe children and monitor their developmental progress. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized classroom. Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns. Complete required classroom documentation, including attendance, meal counts, and incident reports. Follow all licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and daycare policies. Provide guidance and direction to assistant teachers and other classroom staff. Work cooperatively with the Director and other staff members. Prepare classroom materials and maintain adequate supplies. Report injuries, illnesses, behavioral concerns, and other important matters to the Director. Maintain professionalism, dependability, and confidentiality at all times. Be dependable and arrive to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
