Toddler Assistant Teacher Do you love working with little ones and want a job where you can stay active, have fun, and make a difference every day? Country Kids Day Care is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team and help care for children ages 12-36 months. You'll work alongside a Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where toddlers can play, explore, learn, and grow. This is a hands-on position that's a great fit for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and genuinely likes the busy toddler years! What You'll Do Work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, caring, and fun toddler classroom Help implement age-appropriate activities, play, and learning experiences Actively supervise and engage with children throughout the day Support toddlers during play, meals, naps, transitions, and other daily routines Provide hands-on care, including diapering, feeding, and comforting children Help prepare and serve meals and snacks Encourage toddlers as they develop social, emotional, physical, and early independence skills Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom Build positive relationships with children and families Communicate and work closely with the Lead Teacher and other center staff Follow center policies, health and safety procedures, and childcare licensing requirements Participate in required training and professional development Step into additional classroom responsibilities when the Lead Teacher is absent, as needed You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are Caring, patient, and enjoy working with toddlers Dependable and committed to being at work consistently and on time Energetic and comfortable staying active throughout the day Comfortable with hands-on care, including diapering and feeding Positive and able to work well as part of a teaching team Attentive and able to actively supervise young children Comfortable with the sometimes messy, busy, and unpredictable nature of toddler classrooms Willing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator A good communicator with coworkers and families Experience & Requirements Experience working with toddlers in a group setting is strongly preferred.
Candidates must also:
Be willing to obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification Complete required background checks Participate in required orientation and training Be physically able to actively care for young children, including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, floor play, and lifting and carrying children Why You'll Like Working Here At Country Kids Day Care, you'll be part of a team that gets to experience some of the biggest moments in a child's early years — first words, new friendships, growing independence, and plenty of laughs along the way. Pay:
