A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

What You'll Do Responsibilities will vary by position and may include: Planning or assisting with age-appropriate classroom activities Supervising children during play, meals, rest time, and transitions Helping maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom Supporting children's social, emotional, academic, physical, and spiritual development Communicating professionally with parents and coworkers Providing classroom coverage as needed Following licensing requirements, safety procedures, and school policies Participating in staff meetings and training What We're Looking For A caring, patient, and dependable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred Willingness to work with different age groups and classrooms Ability to meet the physical demands of an early childhood setting Willingness to support the Christian mission of Northlake Christian School Lead Teacher applicants must have a CDA or be willing to complete one within the school's required timeframe. Compensation Pay ranges from $14.50 to $16.75 per hour , depending on the position, experience, education, and credentials.
