Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster collaborative relationships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports. Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certification adherence, to ensure a secure environment for all children. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and implementing specialized programs such as Reggio or preschool curricula. Skills Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including toddler care and preschool teaching. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education standards, and early intervention techniques. Proficiency in curriculum development across various disciplines such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively. Ability to manage classrooms efficiently through effective classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and health & safety regulations including first aid and CPR certification. Experience with standardized testing procedures, lesson planning software, and documentation tools related to early childhood education.
