Job Description
Lead Toddler Teacher Wise Kids is looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, can confidently lead a classroom, and understands the importance of providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for toddlers. Responsibilities Lead the daily operation of a toddler classroom Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment Provide active supervision and maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities Support children's social-emotional, language, physical, and cognitive development Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, naps, and daily routines Complete daily communication and documentation through Procare Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Communicate professionally with parents and families Guide and work collaboratively with assistant teachers and classroom staff Complete child observations and developmental assessments as required Follow all center policies and Massachusetts EEC regulations Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development Qualifications Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification preferred Lead Teacher certification is a plus Knowledge of toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices Reliable, organized, patient, and able to work well as part of a team Strong communication and classroom-management skills Must meet all EEC background check and training requirements CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, communicates well, is dependable, and enjoys creating a fun and loving classroom environment. We are looking for a teacher who can confidently lead a classroom while still being hands-on and actively involved with the children throughout the day.
