Pre-K Lead Teacher

Ocean House on the Farm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. We are a well-established childcare center focused on creating a supportive, consistent environment for both children and staff. We are looking for a qualified candidate who holds a Level 5 credential on Maine Roads to Quality and is confident leading a classroom with professionalism, structure, and care.

Position Overview:

The Lead Teacher is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the classroom, supporting children's development, and working collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a classroom in a nurturing, structured setting Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom Communicate effectively with families and team members Support and guide assistant teachers Maintain compliance with Maine licensing regulations

Qualifications:

Level 5 or higher on the Maine Roads to Quality Registry (required) Prior experience in a lead teaching role preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
