Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool-aged children. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's early educational experiences and collaborate with experienced educators to deliver high-quality preschool programs. Duties Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, science, and social skills. Support classroom management efforts by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills. Provide attentive childcare, ensuring the safety, well-being, and emotional support of children during daily routines and activities. Help facilitate inclusive learning environments by working effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements. Collaborate closely with teachers to monitor individual student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters curiosity and independence among students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's development, behavior, and classroom activities. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including special education strategies and behavior management techniques. Experience assisting in lesson planning for preschoolers with a focus on literacy, math, and Montessori or other educational philosophies is advantageous. Familiarity with classroom management tools and techniques to support a positive learning environment. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families in school or daycare settings. Experience working with children with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with young children, parents, and team members.
