Position:
Classroom Aide - Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a fingerprint background check with MSP, a background check with LARA, and pass a TB Test. Experience working in early childhood education preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent oral and written communication and presentational skills. Ability to cooperate successfully as a member of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with others, including Work effectively, make decisions and problem solve collaboratively within a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in instructing and supervising children in classroom activities. Assist teacher in incorporating required activities into lesson plans that support children's development. Help teacher prepare activities that support lesson plans. Maintain open communication with parents. Help to maintain a clean and organized learning environment. Engage in continuing education and professional development activities such as training, workshops, and classes to meet required qualifications. Perform all other related duties and documentation requirements as assigned. Must be willing to fill in for food prep when needed and the following responsibilities include: Responsible for food handling and classroom delivery as determined by menu and assignment. Ability to complete State of Michigan approved Allergen Training Program. Serve students in a friendly manner. Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary work area. Responsible for organizing kitchen area. Other duties as assigned by Administrator.
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
