Children ages 3-12 We are looking for a fun, dependable, creative, and caring After School Care Team Member to join our Surround Care program! This is a great position for college students, education majors, childcare workers, or anyone who loves working with kids and is looking for extra income during school-friendly hours. Our after-school program serves children ages 3 through 12 in a safe, structured, playful, and Christian environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys being with kids, can follow directions, helps create a positive atmosphere, and is willing to jump into the fun — whether that means helping with homework, playing outside, leading games, encouraging friendships, or helping little ones through big feelings. This position follows the school calendar, making it a great fit for someone looking for consistent weekday hours without late evenings or weekends. Additional hours may also be available on snow days, non-school days, and during the summer months.

Responsibilities Include:

Supervising and caring for children ages 3-12 Helping create a safe, fun, and welcoming after-school environment Leading or assisting with games, crafts, outdoor play, homework time, and daily routines Supporting children with kindness, patience, and consistency Following program expectations, licensing rules, and staff directions Helping children practice positive social skills, problem-solving, and respectful behavior Communicating with the Program Director and other staff members as needed Being willing to support and respect the mission and values of a Christian school environment

Requirements:

Must be available on school days from 2:15-5:00 p.m. Must be dependable, responsible, and able to follow directions Must complete required background checks Must complete 16 hours of required professional development annually Must enjoy working with children and be willing to bring creativity, energy, and fun to the program Must be willing to work in and support a Christian school environment

Preferred, But Not Required:

First Aid/CPR certification Experience in an early childhood, childcare, school, or after-school setting Experience working with children ages 3-12 SEL training or experience supporting children's social-emotional needs Tutoring or homework-help experience College coursework in education, early childhood, child development, social work, or a related field

Schedule:

Monday-Friday on school days 2:15-5:00 p.m. Optional additional hours may be available on snow days, non-school days, school breaks, and during the summer
