Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-School Educator to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curriculum, ensuring the well-being of each child, and collaborating with parents to support their child's growth and development. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, and physical education through play-based learning. Create lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each child, incorporating special education strategies when necessary. Manage classroom activities effectively while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among children. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and informal evaluations. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to discuss children's development and address any concerns related to child welfare. Provide guidance and support for classroom assistants or interns, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Stay informed about current best practices in early childhood education, and DHS guidelines. Education/Experience Meet the requirements of MN Statute 9503.0032 Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or private school setting. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is essential. Familiarity with tutoring methods and literacy education is a plus. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education services.
