Pre-K Teacher Early Childhood Academy (ECA) - White Bear Lake, MN Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:30 PM Position Summary Early Childhood Academy (ECA) is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher to lead our Pre-K classroom at our White Bear Lake location . This role is perfect for an early childhood educator who loves working with preschool-aged children and helping them build the confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and early academic foundations they need for a successful transition to kindergarten. As our Pre-K Teacher, you'll create a classroom where children are excited to learn, encouraged to ask questions, and supported as they develop new skills. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your students and families while working alongside a supportive team of early childhood professionals. Key Responsibilities Lead daily Pre-K classroom activities, routines, and transitions while creating a positive and engaging learning environment Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and hands-on learning experiences Support kindergarten readiness through early literacy, math, science, language, fine motor, and problem-solving activities Encourage independence, confidence, creativity, and a love of learning Support children's social-emotional development, including friendship skills, communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation Create opportunities for learning through play, exploration, small-group activities, and teacher-guided instruction Establish consistent classroom expectations and use positive guidance strategies Observe and assess children's development and document progress and developmental milestones Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding classroom activities and their child's development Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment Ensure compliance with ECA policies and all applicable Minnesota licensing, health, and safety requirements Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to support children and the overall success of the program Qualifications Meets Minnesota licensing requirements for a Teacher , including qualifying education and experience Previous experience in a preschool, Pre-K, childcare, or early childhood education setting preferred Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices Experience with classroom management and positive guidance strategies Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Dependable, patient, creative, and comfortable taking the lead in a classroom Passion for preparing young children for their next big step—kindergarten!
