Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood development, including literacy, math, and social skills. Plan engaging lesson activities that stimulate curiosity and promote active learning among toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization while encouraging positive behavior and classroom management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Apply behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions and emotional regulation effectively. Conduct assessments of child development progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate to tailor instruction. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of child development principles, childhood education techniques, including Montessori or other specialized curricula such as special education or early intervention programs. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities. Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork with colleagues. Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment. Ability to develop curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and age-specific activities. Experience with toddler care, preschool teaching methods, and working within private school or daycare environments preferred. $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
