Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including kitchens, dining spaces, and service areas, following established sanitation protocols Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and surfaces using appropriate food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with food preparation tasks such as basic food handling, meal assembly, and ensuring adherence to recipes and portion sizes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, knives, and other culinary tools Support the dietary department by helping with menu planning and food production for high-volume service periods Ensure compliance with food safety standards during all cleaning and food handling activities Collaborate with culinary staff to uphold hygiene standards during food service operations and catering events Qualifications Prior experience as a dietary aide or in a food service environment is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures Experience with menu planning, food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and cooking methods Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely Background in fine dining or restaurant settings is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining quality standards Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety regulations This role offers an engaging environment where your skills contribute directly to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
