Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our dynamic early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster growth, curiosity, and a love for learning among infants. Your leadership will ensure a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. As a Lead Infant Teacher, you will serve as a role model for fellow staff members and build strong relationships with families to promote collaborative care and development. Responsibilities Design and execute developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to infants' individual needs, promoting physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth. Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure high-quality care and effective classroom management. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that complies with all health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering trust and transparency. Observe and document children's developmental milestones to inform personalized care plans and educational strategies. Lead daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and play activities with patience and enthusiasm. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Proven experience working with infants in a daycare or early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or willingness to obtain upon hire. Experience with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable. Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture positive behavior management strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of early childhood education best practices, including child supervision standards and classroom experience requirements. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
