The ideal candidate truly enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. As a Preschool Teacher, you will work with children ages 2 to 3 years old , supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through hands-on learning, creative activities, play, and consistent daily routines. Responsibilities Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support early learning, including language development, early literacy and math concepts, science, art, music, sensory play, and social-emotional development. Provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and welcoming classroom environment where every child feels comfortable, supported, and included. Encourage learning through play, exploration, creativity, movement, and hands-on experiences. Support children's social and emotional development by encouraging independence, sharing, kindness, cooperation, and positive communication. Assist children with daily care routines, including diapering, potty training, meals, handwashing, rest time, and transitions throughout the day . Observe each child's development and progress and provide activities that support individual needs and abilities. Establish positive and professional relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom. Follow all school policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and classroom routines. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide consistent care and a positive classroom experience. Participate in required training and professional development opportunities. Qualifications Previous experience working with children ages 2-3 in a preschool, childcare center, daycare, or similar setting is preferred. Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is a plus; relevant childcare experience will also be considered. Understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers and young preschoolers. Patient, caring, dependable, energetic, and able to maintain a positive attitude in a busy classroom environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable assisting with diapering, potty training, feeding, and other daily care needs. Ability to engage young children in meaningful, fun, and developmentally appropriate activities. Strong organizational and classroom management skills. Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow as part of our team. Most importantly, a genuine love for working with young children and helping them learn, develop, and become more independent. We are looking for someone who will bring patience, kindness, creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to the classroom each day.
