Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher! In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love for learning, promote positive behavior, and ensure each child's individual needs are met. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-5:00. Candidate must be willing to work with children between 6 weeks and 5 years old. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering or potty training, nap times, and transitions Engage children in educational activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and learning materials regularly Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for child welfare concerns Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young children Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Commitment to maintaining a safe environment by adhering to health guidelines and mandated reporting laws Join us in shaping bright futures!
