An Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for infants and toddlers. The teacher supports children's social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development while building positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's individual development and learning. Provide attentive, responsive, and nurturing care to infants and toddlers. Establish a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment. Observe and document children's developmental progress and individual needs. Develop positive partnerships with families and encourage parent involvement. Follow Early Head Start policies, program standards, and state licensing requirements. Maintain accurate classroom, attendance, health, and developmental records. Support children with routines such as meals, diapering, toileting, rest, and transitions. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, family service staff, and other professionals. Promote positive behavior through consistent, developmentally appropriate guidance. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, home visits, and family engagement activities as required. Ensure all health, safety, sanitation, and supervision requirements are consistently followed.

Qualifications:

Typically, an Early Head Start Teacher should have experience working with infants and toddlers and meet the education and credential requirements established by the employer, Head Start regulations, and applicable state licensing standards

Pay:

$15.50 - $18.00 per hour
