Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Floater to join our team at a nurturing educational environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about childhood development and committed to providing a safe and engaging space for young learners. As a Preschool Floater, you will support various classrooms, ensuring the well-being of children while assisting teachers in delivering educational activities that promote child welfare and development. Pay is based on experience and state required trainings that have been completed. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities that foster learning in areas such as math, literacy, and social skills. Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Manage classroom behavior by applying effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and promote positive interactions among children. Support the educational needs of children by providing individualized attention and encouragement as necessary. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible for children. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to early childhood education. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive learning experience across different classrooms. Requirements Must complete state required trainings within 3 months of hire. Must be willing to enroll in Early Education classes at the NM college of your choice. Previous experience in daycare or preschool settings is preferred, demonstrating knowledge of childhood development principles. Understanding of child welfare practices and commitment to creating a nurturing environment for young learners. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively during activities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while being flexible in adapting to various classroom needs. A passion for educating young children and contributing positively to their growth and development.
