Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored from a purchased program that is implemented in our program. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support their cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respectful interactions among students. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain detailed records of student progress and incidents. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or toddler care. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education methods using teaching strategies. Certification in first aid CRR is required; (which can be taken thru our program.) Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when appropriate. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Having an Associates or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood is a plus.
