Job Description

Job Overview:
Through partnerships between families and educators, CNS strives to inspire lifelong learners who will greet the world with kindness and curiosity, within an inclusive and supportive environment. CNS is a coop that values its teachers and knows that they are the heart and soul of the school. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone who has experience with 2, 3 or 4 year olds and has a background education in early childhood. A CDA or an Associate Degree in early childhood education is a plus! Experience teaching UPK is also a plus! As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and play. Your role will involve developing age-appropriate lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and providing an engaging classroom experience for children.
Start Date:
S eptember 2026 with hours over the summer to prep.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote early childhood development through play.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for children
  • Provide age-appropriate activities and experiences that encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a positive learning environment
Qualifications :
  • Associate and/or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or CDA(preferred)
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development for young learners
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to engage and connect with children on an individual level
  • Patience, creativity, and flexibility in working with diverse learners
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies for students with special needs is a plus
  • Ablity to collobrate with other educators is a must.
