Job Description
Overview Join our early childhood education team as an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will help shape the foundation for lifelong learning. In this role, you will lead a classroom dedicated to Toddlers (1-2 yrs old), fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. Your will inspire curiosity, support early childhood development milestones, and promote a love of learning through teaching and compassionate care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional skills. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Foster strong relationships with children and their families through clear communication and regular updates on progress and needs. Incorporate best practices to support children's needs. Maintain accurate documentation of each child in accordance with mandated regulations and program policy standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and childcare regulations while promoting child welfare at all times. Skills Experience with toddler care and early childhood development instruction. Strong classroom management skills to create an organized, engaging learning environment. Proficiency in lesson planning, and implementing curriculum. Knowledge of early childhood education philosophies is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists such as speech therapists. Excellent communication skills to clearly convey expectations and developmental feedback to families and team members. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and early intervention strategies. Classroom experience related to daycare settings is a plus.
