Your enthusiasm for early childhood education and nature-based learning will help cultivate curiosity, independence, and environmental awareness among preschoolers. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum that integrates nature exploration, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to preschool-aged children. Lead outdoor activities that promote curiosity about the environment while ensuring safety and supervision at all times. Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions with positive reinforcement strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, or informal updates. Incorporate child development principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners, including those with special education needs. Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, assessments, incident reports, and compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons that support childhood development goals and standardized testing readiness when applicable. Experience Prior experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood settings is essential. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development focused on early childhood education and outdoor learning environments. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices to create a positive learning space. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly valued. Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws ensures safety and compliance standards are met. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within a collaborative educational setting. Previous experience teaching physical education or literacy education enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive early childhood instruction.
