Job Description

New Adventures Early Learning is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic Afternoon Teacher to join our team! This is a part-time afternoon position, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM . The primary responsibility will be working with our school-age children as they return from school, but this position will also provide support in other classrooms as needed.

What You'll Do:

Meet and supervise school-age children as they arrive by bus Help children transition from their school day into the afternoon program Prepare and serve afternoon snack Assist with homework and schoolwork Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and outdoor play Provide support in other classrooms and with different age groups when needed Assist teachers with afternoon transitions and classroom routines Help classrooms close down at the end of the day Complete nightly cleaning and sanitizing duties Help ensure classrooms are clean, organized, and ready for the next day Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all children Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and staff Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Enjoys working with children of different ages Is dependable, punctual, and responsible Is flexible and willing to help wherever needed Is patient, energetic, and positive Works well as part of a team Is comfortable with both childcare responsibilities and cleaning/closing duties Has strong communication skills Is willing to complete all required trainings and background checks

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00
