  • ELC A Peace of Mind Inc. Early Learning Center (APOM
  • ELC) offers programming for children ages one year to twelve years of age, in an environment based on individual and family needs.
The program is designed to provide children with feelings of success, self-confidence, personal competencies, and self-esteem; through activities that: promote positive pro-social skills, and healthy emotional behaviors, gain confidence with self-help skills, promote the development of large and small muscle control, and promote the growth of receptive and expressive intellectual skills. APOM
  • ELC is seeking energetic, friendly, and organized individuals to be part of our team.
Candidates must be team-oriented and enjoy working with young children, and adolescents; prior experience working in an early learning center is helpful.
A successful candidate will:
pass a Physical, can lift at least 25 to 50 lbs., ability to walk, sit on the floor, bend, carry, move, reach items on high shelves, push items and perform physical duties with reasonable accommodations, possess a clean criminal background, obtain FBI clearances, pass pre employment drug screening, obtain Act 33/34 and submit to random drug screens after hire. APOM is a smoke and drug free environment.
Educator Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Early Childhood experience, CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Prior classroom experience Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Minimum of 2 years documented experience working with young children. Strong written and communication skills Our resource educators work to: Collaborate with Lead teacher to develop lesson and implement plans Meet the individual needs of the children Participate in staff and training meetings Collaborate with Lead teacher to design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level Partner Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff Build teamwork Use assessment tools Commit to continuing education We are happy to work with our resource educators daily to ensure they are provided with whatever they need to maintain a healthy work environment, as well as a classroom filled with fun-based learning!
