We are seeking a passionate an energetic Part-Time, Afternoon Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. In this vital role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social skills, and foundational learning. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the minds of our future generations while fostering a love for learning through innovative teaching methods and personalized attention. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, music and movement, faith, and creative activities aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages social growth, emotional growth, and positive behavior management. Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress in areas such as language development, cognitive skills, and motor abilities, including assesment testing when applicable. Lesson plan and Engage children in hands-on activities. Lesson planning must include and follow the curriculum and curriculum mapping of the school. Manage classroom routines effectively to ensure safety, positive discipline, and smooth daily operations while maintaining classroom management best practices. Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a preschool and/or elementary school setting with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development and literacy education strategies. Knowledge of techniques to support diverse learners. Familiarity with classroom management tools and behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Certification in early childhood education, studying in the education field, and/or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Experience with classroom experience.
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
