Your responsibilities will include:
Creating a warm, safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. Planning creative, age-appropriate lessons and hands-on learning experiences. Making learning exciting through music, movement, art, sensory play, storytelling, and exploration. Supporting language development, social-emotional growth, and early independence. Helping children learn to communicate, share, build friendships, and navigate big feelings. Establishing consistent routines and using positive, developmentally appropriate guidance. Observing and documenting developmental progress and celebrating individual milestones. Building trusting relationships with parents through thoughtful, consistent communication. Supporting daily care routines, including meals, hygiene, diapering, and toileting as appropriate. Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Collaborating with fellow teachers and school leadership to provide exceptional care and education. Following all applicable health, safety, supervision, and childcare licensing requirements. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who brings patience, kindness, creativity, and positive energy into the classroom. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. A genuine passion for working with toddlers and young children. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to provide attentive supervision and positive classroom guidance. Reliability, professionalism, and a caring attitude. Ability to meet applicable Texas childcare background-check and training requirements. Ability to safely participate in active classroom routines, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor.
Preferred qualifications:
1-2 years of experience working in childcare or early childhood education. Previous experience teaching toddlers. Familiarity with early childhood curriculum and lesson planning. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or related education. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
