Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional development. Provide attentive toddler care and support early intervention strategies to meet individual child needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Conduct assessments of child development to tailor instructional approaches and support individualized learning goals. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent classroom management and high-quality childcare delivery. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills development.
