The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Childhood Educator at Once Upon A Child, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering a positive and nurturing environment, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure the best possible learning experience for our students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore and discover new things.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate findings to parents and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean and organized childcare space
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate activities and events that enhance the learning experience for children.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
