Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating early childhood education standards and best practices. Facilitate engaging lessons in literacy, math, physical education, and social skills to promote holistic child development. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to create a safe, inclusive learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding behavior or development. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing methods and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans that incorporate special education needs and early intervention strategies. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards at all times. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings, including classroom management and behavior management techniques. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education. Experience with special education practices, early intervention programs, and working with children with diverse learning needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to plan and execute creative lesson plans that incorporate math, physical education, and childcare activities. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and first aid/CPR certification is preferred.
