9am-6pm The Growing Place is seeking a dependable, patient, and professional Toddler Teacher to provide quality care and early learning experiences for children ages 12-24 months. The Toddler Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging classroom while supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. This position requires someone who is comfortable with the daily responsibilities of toddler care, including diapering, feeding, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and following established routines. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, works well as part of a team, and understands that every employee contributes to the overall success of the center. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Child Care & Supervision Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Build positive relationships with children through nurturing interactions. Maintain required classroom ratios at all times. Follow all licensing regulations, health standards, and center policies. Diapering & Personal Care Follow all diapering sanitation procedures and licensing requirements. Change soiled clothing when necessary. Monitor diaper and wipe supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed. Meal & Snack Responsibilities Encourage healthy eating habits while creating a positive mealtime environment. Assist children with self-feeding while providing hands-on help when needed. Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions. Classroom Environment Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Rotate classroom materials to encourage exploration and development. Clean and sanitize classroom materials according to center procedures. Complete daily classroom cleaning responsibilities. Curriculum & Child Development Implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities. Encourage social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development. Read stories, sing songs, lead group activities, and facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Observe and document children's developmental progress. Family Communication Communicate professionally and respectfully with families. Document daily activities, meals, diapering, naps, and photos using Brightwheel. Share important information regarding children's progress and daily experiences. Safety & Emergency Preparedness- Safety is everyone's responsibility. Participate in monthly fire drills and emergency preparedness drills. Practice lockdown, shelter-in-place, severe weather, and evacuation procedures. Maintain constant awareness of classroom safety hazards. Team Support Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers. Assist other classrooms when needed to maintain smooth daily operations. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and center events. Maintain a positive, professional attitude with children, families, and coworkers. QualificationsRequired High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass all required background check and fingerprinting Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Preferred Experience working with toddlers Childcare or preschool experience CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education Knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards and Texas Rising Star standards Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic Strong classroom management skills Excellent communication and teamwork Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable and punctual Comfortable using technology, including Brightwheel Passion for helping children learn through play Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 pounds Ability to participate in outdoor play and classroom activities Ability to respond quickly to children's needs and emergencies
