Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Follow schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, nutrition, and playtime. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that meets CCQS code requirements and encourages exploration and learning. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support children holistically through communication. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies. Conduct brief assessments to monitor student progress in all areas of development. Maintain the physical and emotional health of all students. Assist children with feeding and diapering. Maintain active supervision of multiple children in a group setting. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current in early childhood education trends. Skills Maintain daily records via Procare. Must be punctual and reliable. Supportive, positive, and a patient demeanor. Physically able to lift children when needed. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing demeanor combined with strong organizational skills to manage classroom dynamics effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education with CDA credentials and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote the faith based social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
Must:
be able to pass an in depth background check, has a Highschool Degree or GED, and needs a State issued ID.
Work Schedule:
Full time schedule: Monday - Friday starting at 8:30 am through 5.30 pm. One hour of break. The hours and times may vary due to the daily Student to Staff ratio. Benefits Will cover learning and testing expenses for a Food handler's course (if no permit is already held) Will cover class expense for a CPR & 1st Aid Course (if no Certificate is already held) Paid Professional Development Training.
