Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Child Care Teacher to join our vibrant Mother's Day Out team. In this role, you will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for working with children will foster a positive atmosphere to help children learn through play, creativity, music, and games. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education. Hours are Monday - Thursday, 9am - 12:30pm, September through May. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass background checks. Comfortable working in a Christian child care setting. First Aid and CPR certified (training/certification can be arranged prior to starting work). At least two years' experience providing care to preschool-aged children. Enjoy working with children, reliable, caring, patient, and enthusiastic. Responsibilities Works with Mother's Day Out Director to provide nurturing care to children age 2 ½ through 5 years of age. Tasks may include planning age-appropriate activities, reading aloud, leading games, singing, crafts, distributing snacks, changing diapers, supporting toilet training, and introducing shapes, numbers, alphabet, etc. Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts. Ensure children's safety, including following Safe Sanctuaries child protection policies (training provided). Help set up for activities and clean up classroom each day. Discuss child development and behavior with Director. Ensure appropriate staffing ratios and coverage at all times. Other duties as assigned.
