Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging daily activities that support early childhood development, including preschool and toddler care routines. Supervise children closely to ensure their safety at all times, providing attentive child supervision and behavior management. Foster positive relationships with children by encouraging exploration, creativity, and social interaction. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and any concerns. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including first aid readiness. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Support children with special needs or disabilities through individualized instruction and inclusive practices when applicable. Skills Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required; additional certifications such as special education or behavior management are a plus. Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work with diverse groups of children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Familiarity with daycare center operations, child supervision techniques, and mandated reporting laws.
