Job Description
KinderCare is seeking Teachers for our Centreville center who are passionate about early childhood education. In this role, you'll create a safe, nurturing classroom where young children learn through play-based, developmentally appropriate activities. You will plan and lead lessons, support social-emotional growth, and maintain licensing and safety standards. Teachers build strong partnerships with families, collaborate with teammates, and participate in ongoing training. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based lessons and activities Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Supervise children to ensure health, safety, and wellbeing at all times Communicate regularly with families about children's progress and daily experiences Collaborate with teaching teammates and center leadership on classroom plans Support social, emotional, and cognitive development through guided play Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with licensing standards Observe, document, and report on children's developmental milestones Participate in training and professional development opportunities Uphold Kinder Care policies and regulatory requirements Required Skills Lesson planning for early childhood classrooms Classroom management for young children Knowledge of early childhood development milestones Implementation of play-based curriculum Health, safety, and supervision practices Parent and family communication Child observation and documentation Basic behavior guidance and conflict resolution Compliance with childcare licensing regulations Team collaboration in an educational setting
