Schedule:
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday , 8:15am-1:15pm Magnolia teachers dive deep into the Magnolia Method, a play-based forest school curriculum inspired by the tradition of European forest schools. Teachers promote the holistic development of all children, fostering resilient, confident, independent, and creative learners, and inspire curiosity, imagination, and exploration in a setting where children are free to express their interests, needs, and passions. A teacher's role is active and guiding - co-constructing knowledge alongside each child's development. We're looking for teachers who are eager to learn, work well with a team, and bring patience and imagination to their work with students. Our school operates outside in a range of conditions, including inclement weather. Teachers should be prepared to dress for the elements, and we provide a $200 stipend toward high-quality rain gear. Previous experience in education or outdoor recreation isn't required - we provide training and ongoing professional development. We're looking for a full school-year commitment.

Tues/Thurs/Fri School starts September 8th
Required PD:
September 2-3 Onsite training at summer camps in August Qualifications / Desired Traits Early childhood or teaching experience preferred Strong communication skills Adaptable and flexible Patient and imaginative with students Comfortable working as part of a team Able to carry a child or bin of supplies up to 20-30 pounds Responsibilities Lead and supervise a small group of children throughout the day, ensuring safety in the forest setting Support children's physical, social, and emotional development through the Magnolia Method Prepare and maintain the outdoor classroom space, including setup and end-of-day care Communicate regularly with the Site Director and with parents about each child's day Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and transitions Maintain simple developmental notes on each child Respond to first aid needs as certified Magnolia Forest Preschool is an equal opportunity employer.
