We are hiring for both Assistant Teacher and Lead Teacher positions , depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated classroom leadership. This is not an entry-level childcare position. We are specifically looking for teachers who already have professional experience in a licensed childcare or preschool classroom, understand Washington State DCYF requirements, and can step into a classroom ready to contribute. The right person is dependable, accountable, professional, confident working with children, works well with a team, and is looking for a stable, long-term position. Responsibilities Responsibilities will vary depending on whether you are hired as an Assistant Teacher or Lead Teacher and may include: Leading or supporting age-appropriate lessons, activities, and classroom routines Creating a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment Maintaining active supervision and ensuring children's safety at all times Using positive and appropriate behavior-guidance techniques Supporting children's social, emotional, physical, and educational development Managing transitions, meals, play, outdoor activities, rest time, and other classroom routines Maintaining an organized, sanitary, and professional classroom Completing required classroom documentation Communicating professionally with parents about their child's day and development Working cooperatively with teachers, assistants, directors, and other staff Following all center policies and Washington State DCYF licensing requirements

For Lead Teachers:

overseeing day-to-day classroom operations and providing direction and support to assistant teachers Transporting school-age children in a center vehicle when assigned and qualified Required Qualifications Applicants should already meet the basic requirements necessary to work in a Washington State licensed childcare facility.

Candidates must have:

registration Required Initial 30 Hours / STARS training completed Current DCYF Portable Background Check clearance Current required CPR / First Aid certification Required Bloodborne Pathogens training Current Food Worker Card , when applicable Working knowledge of DCYF childcare regulations and classroom expectations Ability to meet all applicable Washington State childcare staff qualifications We are specifically looking for applicants who already have their required childcare credentials, training, and classroom experience in place. This position is not intended for someone entering professional childcare for the first time. Preferred Qualifications for Lead Teachers 2+ years of licensed childcare or preschool experience Previous Lead Teacher or classroom-management experience Early Childhood Education coursework or credentials Washington Initial Early Childhood Education / Stackable Certificate AA degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field Experience supervising, mentoring, or providing direction to assistant teachers Strong classroom-management and organizational skills What Success Looks Like A successful teacher on our team is someone we can count on.
