Part time position 11:00am-5:30 pm Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will support children's developmental needs through active supervision, educational activities, and personalized care. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education and experience working with children will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children Provide attentive infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns Enforce behavior management strategies to encourage positive conduct and social interaction among children Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns appropriately Assist with classroom organization, activity setup, and maintaining a clean and safe environment Qualifications Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs Knowledge of childhood development principles across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children Demonstrated ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different developmental stages First aid and CPR certification required; ongoing training preferred Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Familiarity with behavior management techniques and early childhood education best practices Ability to adhere to safety protocols and mandated reporting laws governing child welfare Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not mandatory Join us in creating a joyful environment where children feel supported to explore their potential!
