Qualifications Valid California Preliminary or Clear Single Subject Credential in Chemistry (or eligibility to obtain one by July 2026). Eligibility for a California Single Subject Intern credential in Chemistry (candidate must earn an Intern credential by July 2026), or eligibility for a Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP) or Provisional Internship Permit (PIP). Valid CPR certification meeting standards established by the American Heart Association or equivalent organization. Strong knowledge of high school chemistry curriculum, laboratory safety protocols, and instructional best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners. Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, assessment administration, and classroom management.
